Great Results!! You picked up a solid 3 psi even with the smaller diameter and less contact area. What was the difference at peak and across the board? You are well beyond what I would have said was possible with a 6 rib belt. The 8 rib will give you a little more on the bottom end also. You could pulley down for around 3 more psi with the 8 rib, 10% overdrive and 2.7 RIP pulley.
