Returnless fuel module question
#1
Hey guys. I am building a new fuel system for a friend of mine. It is an 06 GMC 1500 with. An o ringed TFS headed 370/ t76 80e. We are doing an Aeromtive 340 intank to a Bosch 044 inline (energized via hobbs & relay) to a boost referenced regulator and 60#/hr @ 3 bar injectors. I used a -6 bulkhead fitting thru the lid of the module as the new module outlet. The original outlet is now the return port.
Here is my question. Obviosly I am no longer using the intank regulator. What is the can looking unit that the intank reg attaches to and that the pressure line passes thru? My guess is a sort of damper to stabilize pump pulses? Either way, is it ok to leave it out? Thanks guys

I hope someone knows. Also btw just for some fyi. The first round we used twin Walbro 255s intank returnless. One failed under 2000 miles and took out his low mile factory equipped lq9. Sucks. Hope we are doing it right this time.

Dammit man! I think you are right and I am an idiot. Never even noticed there wasn't a filter on the frame... thanks for giving me a stupid smack!
I am going to be banned for stupidity. Btw, without that in the module, a Bosch 044 fits perfectly and still leaves plenty of room for a Walbro or Aero 340.
