Have a 2007 2500HD LQ4 with 27k on it. Cam, headers, and a tvs1900. She needs a refresh (don't ask).

What piston rings for a boosted motor?

This is not a dd and it's main purpose is to be "the hauler" of the trailer with toys.

HKE used Hellfire rings on my 365. Not advocating just passing it on. Said I couldn't hurt it with a good tune.

 

update.... 10/26 we pulled the engine and took the block, crank, rods, pistons and heads to the local machine shop. Sent the cam off to Ed @Flowtech for inspection.

Shop called, crank shot.

Ordered Callis 408 forged stroker kit
GM LS7 lifters
GM lifter trays
GM head gaskets
SLP oil pump and timing chain set
ARP main studs


Reusing the recently purchased and installed:
ARP head bolts
Trunion upgraded rockers

Cam came back fine.
