From rear mount to front mount, new tune?

Nonnieselman, wastegate is vented to atmosphere. I may or may not route it back into exhaust. I also love the spool whistle of a borg warner turbo, I may do a BW turbo upgrade in the future.
Silverado ss, I first had a sts turbo with a 60-1 turbo. Then I swaped it with the 72 magnum (still rear mount). I know tech and pt preaches larger turbos but I really had a lot of fun with the 60-1. It spooled a lot quicker than the 72, but the 72 would pull higher into the rpm range.
Thats why I went front mount, to get that quick spool back!! Now I just need a retune.

Better go back into the exhaust with the wg dump. Or make its own exhaust system like Nonnie did. I dumped mine to atmosphere and couldn't hear anything else. I will be routing mine back in to the regular exhaust shortly.

I have a .81a/r on a p-trim, ball bearing. I would see full boost 8-9psi @ 3500+ rpm through a fmic and wastegate boost referenced at intake manifold. The 60-1 was also a .81 a/r, trim? Hence the quicker spool. You know what though, you may be fine because I also have 4:10 gears on a heavy crew cab.

Thanks man, that's great to know! Those were kind of my rwhp goals. Only thing is I still only have a 4l60e with a shift kit and stock converter behind those horses.
Also I got to give props to Nelson Perf. for all my retunes. They have been great to me.
S ss, how's your rear mount build going?

I had the same experience. I had the ball bearing gt67 rear mount. With cats, loved the sound of the turbo. Then I gutted the cats, the engine was louder, but lost a lot of turbo sound. Never got that sound back, still miss it
