Radix on the way, few questions on details.

Hey guys, im kinda new on here but I'm also on gmfullsize and fullsizechevy. I recently purchased a Radix with the group purchase. Should be here in two weeks or so.
I just have some questions about some other things to go along with it. I plan on getting a FLT level 5 4L70E tranny http://finishlinetrans.com/store/pro...products_id=31 I will be ordering the tranny after I get the supercharger installed. The stock tranny should be okay for a few weeks if I don't thrash on it too much correct? I am also planning on going with a new stall converter such as the Yank TT 2600. http://www.converter.cc/converters/truck/truck_main.htm It says 2600 stall with a stock 5.3, but I'm sure it will stall much higher with a supercharged 6.0L. I haven't spoke with the guys at yank yet but I'm just curious what do you guys think it will stall at? I don't want a stall too high because I do tow things from time to time with this truck. I would like to keep the stall around 2600 or so. I just want something to get me off the line a little harder, and I like the 2.1 STR also
I also plan to get a bigger tranny cooler to go along with this too, I haven't looked into them much yet, any suggestions? For the gauges I would like to remove my stock cluster and get one with the tranny temp gauge to take care of that part, and I wanna run a triple gauge piller. I was thinking Boost, IAT, and A/F ratio. Does that sound about right or would you guys suggest I run something different, or more gauges? For the tune im gonna go with Nelson Performance and get a S & D tune since hes only 30 miles down the road from where I live and I have heard ALOT of good things about him and his shop. I also plan on getting a cam in this thing but thats a ways down the road. Do I need to change from the stock spark plugs or can I just use those? I have also read up on the thermostat and it seems I can just keep the stock thermostat and be fine. I know this is alot of questions at once but I have never owned, or installed a supercharger so I just wanna get as much info/ suggestions as I can so I can do this right. Edit: also forgot to add I do plan on putting a smaller pulley on to get more boost. Thanks for the help,
Sam

The stock trans should hold with the stock Radix tune as long as you can resist beating on it. The FLT level 5 4L65e is what I run but I suggest you get a converter designed to hold the torque of the SC, like the SC series.
My SC2800 flash stalls to 2800 and has a higher STR.
A Trans cooler is a good idea too. Click my sig, and look at my CarDomain pages.
Page 2 describes pretty much what you're looking at.

I don't tow but i dont doubt that I could with the SC2800 if I wanted. The Yank converters are pretty tight.
Boost, fuel pressure and a Wide band O2 is what I have in the pillar pod. I swapped out clusters for the trans temp gauge too.
I would run the stock pulley for a while until you get those other mods in place. Welcome to the FI world, its a blast to have power at will.

That new cluster will run ya 400+. Why not just run a 2 gauge pod up in the overhead as well as the pillar pod. You could throw in the tranny temp and fuel pressure and still be less than getting a whole new cluster.

I paid like 275 w/o core awhile back. I forgot where i got mine though.
sorry for the no help.
Sounds like you have a plan! Call it a destructive plan. LOL Just kidding, seems you have done your research. I gotta admit, I would love an IAT gauge. Nothing to watch all the time, but I kinda like to know what they are. I think Brian@JPA is offering scan gauges for sell.
I am with terver1t, steps...take steps if you can afford it. Alot of my headaches where by doing everything at once.

Sorry about that I shoulda mentioned I was referrring to the ones from Stylin Concepts. I was looking at buying one about two months ago but decided on a dual gauge pod w/ switches that goes in the overhead.

I plan on swapping the pulley but not for awhile like ya said. Whats the stock boost, 5 or 6 psi? Thanks man, I have been saving for awhile now but its gonna be worth every penny. Can't let the diesel guys have all the fun.
