I had a belt breaking nightmare, until I switched to an 8 rib belt on my Procharger. Anything over 600 engine horsepower is not recommended on a 6 rib belt as per my conversation with one of their techs.

Why is it that an 8 rib is needed based on the hp and not the boost amount?

Turbo Kits:
1. Great for the big power numbers
2. Once turbo(s) are spooled you keep full boost till you let off of the gas in an auto and that makes it very fast for racing
3. Blow off valves make the coolest sound you will ever hear unless it is on the vehicle next to you as he leaves your *** sitting there
4. Most difficult of all the kits as they are very involved and have many pieces and factors that are all very inportant to the life of the kit
5. endless supply of different parts to use and change to tune to your individual needs or wants
6. Greatest power potentials of all kits
7. Should always allow for cool down for the turbo so that it doesn't cook the oil in the bushings.
This is my opinion on the kits

On 7. When you say allow cool down for Turbo, what exactly do you meen? You can't run it hard for long periods of time or when you shut the truck down you need to let the Turbo cool before starting the truck again? Sorry I'm lost, & also is this true for all Turbo kits Front Mount Hi & Lo, Rear Mount, STS?

when the turbo is making boost it is getting really hot. you dont want to shut off the engine when the turbo is really hot.
what this means is dont make a run and the turn the truck off right away. let it idle for a few minutes. this doesn't mean you need to let the truck idle after driving it home from work. unless you were boosting into your driveway. just driving normaly is cooling it off.
