Radix + stock tranny

What are the experiences with Radix using stock tranny?? Can a 4L65E take a beating with the added Hp ? I suppose if you bolt on 100+ Hp using stock engine internals, you should be able to use your stock tranny as well. Please give me some feedback. I know sometime in the future I will end up with a FLT tranny, but I want my stock one to last me a looong time.

To answer your question, have a trans on stand by.

do a servo, bigger tranny cooler, maybe a deeper tranny pan and you should be fine on stock boost.
i beated on my 08' all day on stock boost,no problems.i upped the boost and burnt the tranny.

Get the magnacharger warranty if you run their setup. Like BlownChevy said though, it's largely dependent on your driving habits, i ran my stock 60e on my cammed 5.3 with all bolt on's and probably 9-10 bottles of juice at a 100 shot without a problem. I drive like a normal person the rest of the time though and i beat on it carefully if that makes any sense. I bought a built trans before the stocker broke thought.

Well, I guess that´s all good news. Let´s see if I got this right, I am adding a bunch of extra horsepower that if not used carefully, will burn up my stock tranny (most likely 2nd gear), correct? hmmm, I´d better start saving up for an FLT tranny because it´s going to be very difficult to keep that gas pedal off the floor¡¡¡ Thanks guys, as soon as I get the modules from Nelson, I will install my new 112 that´s sitting here in my living room.

I would def save up for a built trans. The shift kits, servos, big trans cooler will only help prolong the life of it, but will still puke out on you.. If you do drive with some sense like mentioned it will last longer, but then every time you jump on it you will think to your self, will this be the end hahahahah

If you're 2wd, I'd personally skip the 60e and go straight with a 4l80e. The swap is ubiquitous nowadays, you'd save at least $1500 over a fully built 4l60e, and you'd have a stronger transmission in the end. Just my opinion.
