If your OEM pump has any extra outlets on it the Walbro will not retain all of the functions of the factory fuel module.
For example, here are a couple of pics of my OEM pump and the equivalent Walbro. Note the small white oulet on the bottom of the OEM pump where there is none on the walbro.

Some pumps have an extra outlet on the bottom or top that drives the venturi pump that fills the bucket with fuel. This prevents aeration, prolongs pump life and deceases pump noise. A small amount of fuel is injected into a funnel-shaped opening on the bottom of the module. This creates a vacuum that rapidly draws fuel into the module and keeps it filled to the top irrespective of the external fuel level.
