My daily driver is a 2003 Z71 Tahoe. I recently put a whipple on it just for fun. Low end grunt is much improved. High rpm power isn't that much better though. In the Texas heat, it pings like crazy. On the other hand, my Radix truck takes the Texas heat with minimal fuss. It has great low end grunt but has the upper rpm power to match.

FWIW - my tahoe has dropped about 1mpg average since I added the whipple. Accelleration in traffic is much better now though.

I wasn't trying to start anything here either, I was just pointing out that both system have a electric pump that can fail and both systems have proven to be very reliable with there electric pumps . I do know that Thunder550's coolant pump died on him and I've heard of one or two sts pump failures, but I believe both are pretty reliable. Also, if the STS pump does fail, it won't fry the turbo, it will just floods it with oil and smoke out the exhaust like a som bitch. But that's why they have an alarm to warn you of pump failure.

OMG guys take it into the ring if your going to fight like this, i cant take it....LMAO. I agree with the great Whipple low end, but not so great top end. I think this has a lot to do with the fact that with no intercooler, that Whipple is building a lot of heat a few seconds into the run. I think thats where the I/C of the radix shines. Add an I/C to that Whipple and i bet your top end improves a bit.

I am not trying to poke at any of the other supercharger systems out there, they all have their place to shine. I just wanted to clear up what I thought to be mis-information.

I made 236rwhp/284rwtq with my 5.3 Tahoe with only a catback (Flowmaster)

I made 413rwhp/437rwtq on 9PSI with the 5.3/Radix. You only get about 6psi out of a stock Radix setup so subtract a few ponies. I think the average is 20rwhp per 1psi. Some will argue this but, it adds up in my application
413hp-238hp=175hp difference
175hp divided by 9psi=19.4444 hp per pound of boost.

You will see a 100hp increase. Maybe a little more. The power comes on right off idle. Do it, do it now
