Default Radix Guys......

The wife has a stock 2002 Z71 Hoe... Thinking of putting the Radix kit on. Anybody have any pics, and some before/after dyno numbers so I can see what to expect on an other wise stock truck? Procharger or Vortech also looks kinda cool but she needs that down low grunt since she very rarely sees over 4000 rpms....lol

As far as SC kits go, pretty straight forward install from what I have read?

Hmmm, just reading up on the STS, maybe that's the way to go!

You will need something with alot of low-end grunt. I believe a Radix Intercooled kit with full exaust and 2600 stall would be cool in a Big Hoe.

I vote Radix for your application. I had one and when they say it is 100% complete they mean it. All you need to buy is some coolant for the intercooler and everything else comes with it.
What I don't like about the STS is the electric oil pump return. Just something else electronic to give issues IMO.

What is the price on the Radix kit and I assume most vendors on the site carry it? How about install time? I have a dynoshop here in CO so we are familiar with installing FI, just not on trucks.

If your interested in a STS (my personal chose ), I know of a shop in Longmont that is a dealer and would be glad hook you up. PM for there name, as there not a sponsor.

PS, on the electric oil pump thing, I've seen probably more failed coolant pumps on the Radix then oil pumps. My pump is still going strong 1 1/2 year and 25,000 miles later

I've seen them as cheap as $4600. They best deal you will get right now will probably be here.

I'm not banging on you, but: The difference here is that you lose the intercooler efficiency if you lose the pump on the Radix. You fry the turbocharger if you lose the pump on the STS. I know which I'd rather lose, not that there's a huge risk of losing either one.

Hate to argue with you there, that is the same pump that FORD uses on the Lightning and Cobra, I have seen two fail in the 2.5 years I worked for Magnsuon. When the fail it is usually due to a poor ground or abuse. My coolant pump is still going strong 3 years and 42,000 later
