Default Radix fuel pump ?

So I was all ready to install my Radix this weekend and ran into a problem. I have an 04 Sierra 1500 CCSB with the 5.3 2WD and have read the instructions cover to cover a few times to make sure I had everything I needed. I bought the unit used and didn't want anything to hang up the install. Well the first hour into it I ran into a problem. The fuel pump assembly was completely different from the instructions and I haven’t been able to find out what I need to do. If anyone can tell me what I need of if they had the same situation I could use some advise.

Is your vehicle flex fuel equipped? If so I don't believe you need to replace the pump.

Well I searched through 12 pages of fuel pump questions and I think I found my answer. I think I have a 2500 fuel pump assembly but uses the same 255 fuel pump. It looks like I will need a sleeve for the pump, crimp-on connections, a different pump hose and a fitting in order to install it into the fuel filter. Hopefully BlownChevy can let me know if this is correct. Here is what the parts look like.

BTW I think it's probably the right one for most trucks but mine appears to be one of the oddball trucks. I was realy looking forward to killing some tires this weekend.

Yup, that is what you need. Once you have that sleeve and brass connector you will be all set. The hose is tight getting it over the ends but everything should go together pretty easy. I left a little blood inside mine but nothing crazy hard about it.

BlownChevy hooked me up with the pump I needed.

Just figured I would leave this thread with an update for anyone searching for information on fuel pump replacements. I ended up ordering part # 31-12-026 from Magnuson which fits H2s, 3/4 ton trucks and SUVs. It uses the same Walbro GSS340 as the standard 1/2 ton assembly but the install parts are slightly different.

I still haven't figured out why my truck had a 3/4 to pump assembly Oh well, here is the info just in case someone else finds themselves in the same situation.
