I run an open element k&n and in heavy rain or snow.. it does build up on the filter... kinda gets you nervous. You do hear lots of intake noise with the open element

ya i beat up and down the moutain roads in snow storms all winter but just like anything a little modification for your specific application never hurt perhaps some water repelent pre filter material over it......

The stock ford lightning pump is exactly the same as the radix pump. They usaualy go for about $100

i used a volant with my old radix.. I sent you a pm on the intercooler pump magnuson sells them for 120 shipped where as the Ferd place wanted 420$$$
