Default radix on a 408?

How will it work? I know it isn't the most optimal setup, but it looks like I'm going to be building a motor and I already have the radix blower. I can't afford to by a turbo or bigger blower right now. Motor will probably be forged with a cam, no head work yet, I just can't swing it right now.

Would I be better off just building it as a 6.0 again?

Yea the 112 is the smallest level, but like Ky said some boost is better then none. I don't know if anyone has put a 112 on a 408?

mnc5 did a 112 radix on a 427 some time ago, it can be done, just not optimal.

keep the compression up and good fuel, boost will be there just don't know how much.

And a big "Roger" to Roger(kysilverado) Boost is BOOST! the tq will be off the hook!!!!

I put a 1900 on a 408 and it works great. Just go with the 112 until you can afford the upgrade. I made 727 hp and 653 ft/lbs at 6 lbs with some trick mods. Here is the dyno chart.

How did you make 727hp with just 6lbs of boost?

I don't see a downside to running your 112 on a 408. Just go into it knowing you'll be OK with whatever boost it gives you and enjoy the ride!
