I have not tried the the Saturn MAP,I did try a Turbo TransAm Map that did not work. Please post your results with the Saturn MAP sensor.I was passing on information that was given to me a few months ago.The Saturn is identical in appearance to a stock truck MAP a straight swap would be great.Having to make an adaptor is a real pain.

It allows your PCM to recognize boost conditions by expanding the MAP ramge to 2bars.A 1bar just reads vacuum to 0,while the 2bar reads vacuum and boost to 14.7lbs.If you are using Speed density tuning it is nessasary with a forced induction to tune VE in the boosted regions.

I hope it the right one, I just ordered one from gmpartsdirect yesterday. Jesse from Wait4me told me a supercharged 04 Saturn Ion MAP was a pulg and play for this, other then changing the seting in the pcm. Can you confirm its not he right part I need?
Let me know if this is the correct plug n play sensor to fit the manifold. GM Parts Direct says its for supercharged Buicks. I want to install EFI Live's custom 2/3 bar OS.

Yes Vince we should be doing it to yours too. Makes a whole world of difference at part and full throttle.

BTW the 2 bar that I use is from a 2005 supercharged Impalla SS. Looks identical to the stock 3 wire map sensor.

So do we know if there is a plug and play 2 bar MAP for our trucks? If so, who has the part number??

Running a 2bar MAP sensor requires 2bar PCM tuning.I'm running 2bar tuning from HPtuners using a 2bar MAP sensor from a supercharged buick for which I had to make a adapter wiring plug, leave the stock MAP in place to seal the opening in the intake manifold and run a vacuum line to the new MAP sensor. That's not plug and play.Kbracing96 had heard that the MAP sensor from a supercharged Saturn would plug into our intake manifold and work with the required 2bar tuning, thus eliminating the extra plumbing.Maybe he can post the results of trying the Saturn MAP.I really would like to have a MAP that plugs into our intake and matches the 3wire plug.

I see, thank you. Is the extra capability to tune using the 2 bar MAP sensor something that you have to send your cable back in for like the EIO??
