Questions about my Radix install
#1
I am trying to make sure that I have all the required parts for my Radix kit. I am at step 103 in the manual for an 04 Chevy 2500 truck. My question is are the bolts for the new tensioner bracket included in the kit or are they the ones off of my truck? Step 106 is that the same idler that is shown in step 103 on the bracket? How many idlers are included in the kit? Also are the manifold bolts on my truck the same size as the ones in the kit?

In step 106 the picture shows a spacer, idler pulley, and bolt. Those are bolted to the tensioner support bracket assembly already. No worries.
In step 127... EVERYTHING in the pic should be included in the kit. Magnuson makes it so easy as the parts needed for a particular stage of install are bagged together.
You should have received 10 intake manifold bolts with the kit. You will use those. You will NOT reuse the factory intake manifold bolts. Obviously, you need to properly torque the intake bolts specific to the instructions... very important. Use a star pattern. A couple of the rear bolts on the passanger side are a minor pain. Take your time. I have a big front porch (gut) so laying on top of the engine bay is uncomfortable... but the payoff is pure bliss

Also note that Magnuson has updated the tensioner bracket assembly that allows a bit better belt tension. Read the update notice in the box the tensioner bracket assembly came in... works like a charm.
Save the box your Radix accessories/parts came in... It works perfect for storing everything that comes off the engine that will not be reused as part of the Radix install.
There are a couple of minor differences in the manual compared to how the parts are shipped... no biggie. Updating manuals (including their website PDF downloads) for minor details are probably not on the list of high priorities at Magnuson... but just guessing here. STILL, this kit install is the most highly documented install that allows guys with decent mech skills to tackle. Easy as pie

Well got all the pieces ordered and I am getting ready for the install. I do have another question about the J-Tube bolts. My kit came with a new J-Tube because 2 of the brass hose barbs were broken. I need to know the torque specs for the J-Tube bolts?
