Not that I can do you much good, my truck is a 2002 2500HD 4X4, but I have never hit anything other than snow banks and icebergs with the intercooler. Mine has an air deflector that has very little damage showing as well. My set up has just over 100,000 miles and coming up on 6 years. I was very concerned right after we got the truck on the road but now I understand I have a $4000 chunk of aluminum hanging under my bumper but I still take it through the pasture or plowed field without too much worry.
I know apples to oranges but over the last 3 winters we have enjoyed copious amounts of snow. All snow near the road must contain a percentage of cement knocked off the curbs and chunks of compressed snow. I know I hit an iceberg last year that fell off the simi in front of me. I thought for sure I damaged my intercooler. Other than a small dent where the air dam bolts on, no damage at all.
The intercoolers are tuff but not indistinguishable.
Good luck hope I helped you a little.
