Default Trick turbo Race intercooler results

Guy I will just see if you are as wow by the Trick Turbo Race Cooler. I have the 5in and the old intercooler I had was a 4in 31in overall 24in by 12in. I logged with the old cooler and was getting a 20ish rise in temp. But after installing the new 12in x 24in core race cooler I'm getting about 30 degree drop in temp. I hope to log more soon. Both logs were at 12lb of boost. The new cooler is flowing more air and my butt dyno is very happy. Maybe get this thing on the dyno. Guy post up your insults with your Race intercooler ?

I was actually going to send you a message today inquiring about your experience with his 5" race intercooler!! I see that your truck see's alot of street pulls and so will mine so i was wondering how it managed the temps with constant street abuse. Good to hear! I am up in the air between a Garrett core or Rick's 5" race.

What were the outside temps during these comparisons?

First pull was in hot weather 100degree. 12lb seen 72 degree. 3 running at stayed in the 7ish. Weather is cooler now and I'm can't wait the log more. I've seen 50ish in cooler weather but don't know the outside temp on that run. I'm running a new dual wastegate setup Rick and I are working with and I would be logging soon.

Are you spraying meth?

I don't see how an A/A IC is almost 30 degrees below ambient

I would only be interested in results without meth.... With meth doesn't tell me how efficient the intercooler itself is. Even if you are using meth for both comparisons and still seeing better results, I understand that means the new intercooler is more efficient. However, that's not the information i'm looking for when doing a comparison on intercoolers.

Meth invalidates the absolute numbers but I do believe you could drop 50 degrees with the new intercooler if your old one was an ebay cooler

I'm defiantly glad to hear that its working great because i am strongly considering his 5" kit. I just want to get some prices on a few Garrett built cores first. I will either get a Garrett or his 5" that's for sure.

When I logged the runs I wanted to compare Apples to Apples. I used meth both times and same boost. Big thing is old cooler temp went up and new cooler temp went way down. And flow is a lot more I had to change my boost controller to get boost back down to 12lb. The way this cooler is designed I'm flowing threw 24in of cooler now 12in like before.

Did you happen to test pressure drop across the core with the old one as well as this one?
