Question question on tvs1900

a friend is selling me a tvs1900 but it was for his 05 6.0 will it fit on my 08 5.3?

the blower will physically fit but certain things are different that complicate the swap. am not sure bout the alignment of the pulley with the drive accessories and also the blower was meant for a 78mm tb. am sure your truck has the 90mm tb. hopefully others with more experience will pitch in soon

wouldn't he need a set of cathedral port heads?

A roush version tvs might be better for your app....

I think the heads are the same. It should bolt up fine and Im sure the TVS 1900 was built around a 90mm tb anyways.

TVS is built to accomodate the 90mm TB, not the 78mm. It comes with an adapter to make the 78mm work.

Anyhow, I know when I had my TVS1900 on my 06 5.3, it was a direct swap to my wife's NNBS 08' Burban with the 5.3. I'd say its safe to assume that this would fit directly onto your truck.

The heads are the same on the 6.0 and 5.3, both cathedral ports. Only the 6.2 is different IIRC.
