Default putting together lsa kit need some adivce.

im putting together an lsa/zl1 kit for my lq4 right now i have 799 heads decked .20 i was told my cr should be around 10.5, my question is can i keep that compression and keep stock crank pulley and get a decent amount of boost out of the stock pulley on a or should i put on the 317

With the right timing and fueling combo you could still run a okay amount of boost. Anywhere from 7-10psi will be more than enough to blow the tires off anyway lol.

I'm in a similar situation but mine are decked .030. From what I'm reading around, a low boost pulley and dead on tuning will still be streetable and reliable. I think high comp with low boost or medium levels on both really offers a nice compromise.

But it'd be torn between leaving on the 317's that are free and already on there just great for boost or throwing on heads you've had work put into.

What else I'm reading is that you limit flow when you reduce chamber size higher compression or not while the 317's flow very well the way they are. No experience, just what I've read.

you will be fine with a little more compression..i would run a colder plug, make sure you keep good fuel in it (93). dont let your tuner get to carried away with timing. i would imagine with stock pullies you should be in the 7-9 lbs of boost range which will still give you plenty of power.
