Default Pump for getting oil from turbos to engine!!

Hey guys!!

Im knew here and had a few questions!!

I have a 2003 Silverado with Twin t-57 Turbos mounted behind the headers.

What is the best kinda pump to use to get the oil from the turbos back to the motor!!!

We had a surflo 1.5gpm pump on there with 1/2" return and 1/4" feed...

With this pump, the oil starts to leak back into the turbos and blows out of the exhaust!!

Is there a good pump that owuld work better than the one we have now??

We were thinking 4.0-5.0 gpm but just wanted to make sure!!

Thanks alot guys, and Im glad to finally be a member here!!!

For the check valves look here www.mcmaster.com. As for the oil pump, you might try this one http://www.racerpartswholesale.com/mocal1.htm. But I think you have 2 problems, 1 you need the check vales and 2 I think your over oiling your turbos and the pump can't keep up. Turbos don't need much oil. I would put about a .063 restrictor in the feed line to the turbos. This may seem really small, but I have see Jose from Forced Induction on the main board recommend as small as like a .032 restrictor. I did this on an S-10 I built a turbo kit for. I just used a 1/8 brass pipe close nipple and filled it half full of solder with a micro torch, I then drill a 1/16 hole throw it and installed it on the inlet to the turbo. It ran for 10,000 miles before I sold it with out any problems.

Yeah You may want to put a restrictor on the inlet oil side of the turbo. That will probley slow the oil down enough so the pump can support that amount coming out.

Hope that works for you...

I don't know what the flow rating is, but I don't think it any more then your. They also run it at a slow speed for normal driving and then kick up to full speed when the boost goes over 1-2 psi.
