Default Procharger trouble

Hey guys I was wondering if anyone on here has experienced this. I just changed the oil in my procharger for the first time only has 4000 miles on it, now the gear noise in the supercharger is way louder?? I called procharger about it today and they said they have never heard of anything like this.
I used one full 6oz bottle of procharger oil checked the oil level and its fine I even added an additional 1/4 bottle after to see if it would help and it still sounds the same. Is this normal? thanks.

Was there shavings in old fluid? Lucky for you the head unit is warranted for one year after purchase. So probly a good idea that you called that way there is documentation when the issue started. Hopefully your still within a year of purchase date.

Well Its well over a year old so no warranty, but I don't think there's anything wrong with it, there was no shavings in the oil, and its still operating at the same temp and feels exactly the same as before. Its just weird that its making more noise now.

No I can drain it in the truck though. I am going to buy some more oil and see what the drained oil looks like. Honestly maybe I am just crazy, but I swear its louder than before I really don't think there's anything wrong with it tho.

I say don't worry about it and let it eat. Change the oil again and see how it looks. If there's no metal shavings or flakes, give it hell. I liked how loud my procharger was, everyone knew **** was about to happen haha.

I don't mind the sound, I absolutely love the sound above 1000 rpm sounds like a jet airplane haha. Its just at idle when its sounds like its crunching up gravel that I hate. I thought about switching to helical gears but I cant be without my truck for over month especially up here we only have a few good months of cruising weather and I don't wanna have my truck down at the peak of car season.

This is what my old P1 sounded like. Honestly I think it was louder than the D1 that i replaced it with, at idle at least.

I say not to worry about it. I just changed the oil in mine and sounded like that, noise went away after a little driving sounds normal now. I am running mobile 1 full syn 50w though.
