Default Procharger time!!

Haven't worked on my truck for the over a year. Almost sold it actually. I'm almost ready to get back in the game. I guess the next step is a supercharger. Really like the hp potential of the Procharger. current mods are in sig. Procharger should really compliment them nicely. Made 315rwhp on dyno 2 yrs ago. would like to see at least 450rwhp. how big difference between p1 and d1 unit? going to get walbro 255 pump and 60# injectors. would it be safe to drive 60 miles to tuner on current tune? thanks for any input.

If you tune it for the injectors, sure. I think you get a basic handheld tune in the kits, which should be good enough to get you to your tuner.

Diffs between P1 and D1 are pretty minor; bigger inducer/exducer diameters and higher output flow for the D1...might as well get the D1 if they're close in price.

I'm interested to see how a 5-speed, such low gearing and a centri will go together, interesting combo for sure...

Save your money and skip the handheld. 450rwhp is easy with a D1. Can be done on a stock 5.3.

d1 it is, already planned on upgrade to 3 core intercooler. probably going to get the tuner kit. i'll get the inj. and pump separate. i have no use for handheld tuner. got a good dyno tuner 1 hr away. will it even run going from stock to 60# inj. w/o some tuning?

No, it will need tuning.

Go for the D1 and 3-core intercooler if possible. The 60# injectors will carry you a good ways. If you ever plan on a bigger motor, or if you really want to up the power, you may want to consider another pump-such as the Bosch 044.

Good choice with the D1. It will run horrible if you try to run it with the 60's and no tune. If you have to drive it to your tuner you could probably leave the stock injectors and tune in it to drive it there. Just don't go into boost or you'll be sorry. When in vacuum it should drive just like it does now, but seriously, get a boost gauge so you can make sure not to go into boost. You'll probably have people honking from behind, but whatever. When you get to the tuning place, swap in the 60's.

Good advice, it won't take that long to swap the injectors out.
