Well that includes me...all I've been in is MP-series vehicles. So I guess I'll just have to see what I can do about remedying that.
That in-car camera vid from a ZR-1 was CRAZY!!!!! Every time the driver shifted and goosed it, the front-end of that Vette pulled up to the sky. Insane!!!

Now how does the MP122 High Helix fall into this between the original MP series and the TVS when it comes to the maggies? Is it a little of both, or still short lived to the 4,000 RPM mark like the older MP series? I just picked up a used one of these (moregrip's old setup) used with almost no miles since he pulled it. However I am intalling this into a heavy 1/2 ton OBS Z71.

Now once you hit 3K, that's when you centrifugal will start to walk the roots - and there is nothing the roots can do at that point. It's shot its wad, and it's making more heat than power. So the centrifugal is clearly dominant in the upper RPM, and if that's where you live, you won't have any competition, except for maybe a nicely-sized turbo.

The MP122 is a definite upgrade over the 112, but not a huge one. If your hp goals are less than 500rwhp, the 122 will do just about as good as a TVS. At hp levels over 500 and motors over 5.7L's, I think the TVS2300 is the choice.

I agree. With a stock cam, my truck seemed to stop pulling around 5500 rpm. After replacing my cam, it pulls hard all the way to 6500 rpm. It may go higher than that, but I've never tried it.

I'm a turbo nut through and through but I will admit the 3-4 TVS vehicles I've been in they surprised the crap out of me on the top end. Not what I was used to when being driven or driving a 112/122 set-up.

Not saying that mine would crap out on me at the 4,000 mark, just saying that compared to what the standard MP122 is, how does the high helix version compare? Is it any closer to the TVS series than the standard 112 or 122?

root style blowers are good but i would take a procharger over one any day because i can cruise around town and not even notice it there if im not into the throttle,it doesn't affect my gas mileage either. as for low end torque the root style will beat a procharger if its the base model p1 but as soon as you step up to a d1 "just one step up on the procharger scale" you will get stomped out threw the whole rpm range and if you want to do it right go with a f-series set up and you will be scared to even touch the throttle ... besides i like the under hood appearance looks on centrifugal better than a roots , centrifugal looks more custom ....
