I have a D-1 procharged 2008 SCSB and I love it! It pulls hard no matter the rpm's! I'm running 10 psi and I made 484RWHP and peaking at 600tq. I am interested in driving a TVS powered truck but my buddy has a 6.0 with one and I'll out run him like he is a 4-banger with my PC 5.3

they're good. they just take more mods to work better, like a stall converter. I say get a magnacharger.

Which kit did he decide to get?

Also, did anyone find out how much the ProCharger kit was & MOST importantly which blower it had? More than likely it was a P1SC but if it was a D1SC or even, dare I say it an F series blower, would everyone still be hating on the PC kit?

**** I'm selling my Procharger and getting a TVS!

JFWY!!!
This web site is very biased and most people's statements are based on hear say and not from personal experience.I also don't see how Procharger set-ups need any more mods to the vehicle to perform at their BEST compared to other FI systems.

i think u really need to consider why maggies r preferred on this site. trever explained why he likes them and i agree, also gm allows maggies without sacrificing ur warranty so that just tells u how much they believe in the quality of the product...

You should keep your Porcharger and put my TVS1900 on it too!

Speak for yourself. If you have biases and lack experience, then say so, but you are not allowed to speak for me. Sorry.

I, for one, have owned a Radix-powered vehicle, and have also ridden in vehicles of the same weight and size as my Avalanche (6,000 lbs.+). My EXPERIENCE is that a centrifugal does not pull for **** in the low-rpm arena (i.e. sub-3000 RPM), whereas the modified-roots style blower gives you FULL TORQUE from 1200 RPM onward and upward to redline.

Sharpshooter has a very nice Procharger truck, and it is fast. I think either setup will be easy to get you to 450.

BTW, I will never get tired of the neck-snapping low-end grunt of my Radix.
