Default procharger kit for 4.8

I just picked up 2006 rcsb 4.8/auto. I have been reading alot on the forum but havent seen anyone post stock rwhp numbers before and after procharger install. I met a local guy in Dallas this weekend who stated he had procharger on 4.8 and made 380 rwhp. I contacted procharger but they dont have a kit for 2006 yet. Without asking too many questions here....what changed between 2003 and 2006 which forced procharger to design a new kit?

Also, I am looking for the best FI system that I can bolton my truck. I only plan on doing catback and 3.73 gears. I am hoping to make enough power to see 350-375 rwhp if possible.

What are your goals with the 4.8 and FI?

I think just about any of the kits out there with the correct tune could get you to your PEAK hp wants. but what about the rest? What are you doing with the truck? IE: extensive mods like converter, cam, heads, etc?

The newer trucks have returnless fuel systems which means the ATI FMU wont work. Also, the fuel pumps are different which means the inine pump cant be used. You could buy a "tuner" kit and then work out your fuel with injectors, a tune and such. I would like to see what they are going to do for the newer trucks also. You can buy fuel pumps for the newer trucks, but I dont think ATI is making a kit with one yet.

My goals for the truck right now are just focused on getting to 350-375 rwhp. I am hoping the blower kit will accomodate this. Thanks for the info on fuel system changes.

So i suspect that this is a P-1 blower??? I think you mich want to think about upgrading injectors and adding a stall convertor and a vette servo. The combo will make decent power but you will need other items besideds the blower to make the most efficent power you can with the combo. Good luck

Yes, I am assuming that procharger will offer the p1sc kit for these trucks. I am not married to the procharger but they appear to offer the best proven out of the box results. The truck currently has 3.23 open diff so my first mod is going to be adding 3.73 and posi. I have thought about adding stall but since my truck is only 2 weeks old, I plan on milking the factory warranty. Thats the nice thing about the procharger kit because if I blow up something I can always take the system off and nones the wiser. If I swap stall I could swap converters as well but a little more painful due to dropping tranny. I am guessing these trucks run mid to high 16s in stock trim. I am shooting for mid 14s with full driveability and no problems with emissions. Any suggestions are always welcomed.
