I don't use anything on mine either , on the dyno to the tires no filter gained 40 something hp - I use to have a screen but it was restricting to ( not much though ) if your worried about paper and plastic that blower will suck it straight through that - that thing will stop lumber and branches lol - but never hurts to have

according to my logs in hpt its hitting 15.9 psi with the filter, i havent logged it with out the filter yet but my gauge reads 2 psi more but its a digi gauge so its can be off sometimes. last time i went out to log with the filter off i spun my water pump pulley off lol. i will be going out this weekend to log it and ill report back.

Man honestly I don't know about the boost & I have a huge convertor so I didnt really notice coming on quicker - mines pretty violent on the dyno , prochargers spool retarded fast , it seemed about the same

Some of you guys are running no filter on the streets?? I guess I am to paranoid to try that.
The track is controlled and I know there won't be random dirt and other crap that I could suck up

The mesh has 16 holes per inch so its small enough to keep nuts and bolts, wiring, or small pets out lol, but not so tight that it restricts flow too badly. Also its rigid enough that there is no possibility that it will get sucked in. 2 to 3 psi more on a maxed D1 when swapped from a 9" cone filter.
