Default Procharged Escalade - how much 0-60 gain from higher stall converter?

I have seen others on this forum state that putting in a higher stall on a Procharged Escalade/Yukon/Tahoe/Truck will really improve performance. So far I would have to say that my Procharged Escalade is no match for my Radixed Denali XL.

So before I spend the dough on a new stall converter, will it be worth at least 1 second 0-60? More? Less?

Other info on the Sclade. Snow Meth Kit and Tune by Allen at Nelson motorsports. Ceramic headers, and Magnaflow exhaust. Only making 5lbs up here in high altitude Alberta.

I don't want to spend the money if it won't be of assistance. I should have just had Allen put on the Trick turbo when he was doing his other work for me. Did not have the $$ or guts to sneak past wife at that time though

Thanks All.

A nice size stall will be a huge improvment overall. The biggest problem once you get it would be maintaining traction on the street though.
I did a yank 3200 in my truck and it did wonders...so much infact i can't use first gear at all past half peddle or it just spins.

Wow - even in full time AWD? That would be cool - roasting all 4 tires at once!

no with awd it won't have traction problems. When I added a stall to my truck with the procharger it was a night and day difference. IMO every procharger should have a stall to go with it. A bigger tranny cooler is recommended also. If you tow with it I wouldn't go much higher than 2500. a 3000 stall will make you very happy!

Probably the best mod for the money especially with a procharger.

I would go with a Precision vig 9.5 3400 stall. A friend with a TBSS and I with SSS have that converter with our FLt level 5 4l65e and we are both awd. I spun the tires from a dig on my stock bottom end at 10psi. The TBSS is NA and runs high 12's with bolt-on's. He spins the front a little at sea level and not so much up here at 5000'. I was disappointed with the procharger without the stall from a dig or 20-30 roll-on's. It will wake that thing up and I consider it to be very very streetable. The TBSS had a 10.5" 2800 stall before this one and it was way too tight.

Well I am half way there as I just picked up a bigger tranny cooler from a friend who was selling his SS and never got around to putting it on.

Looks like a stall is a must.....

I picked up over a second in the 1/4 going from a 10.5" 2400 stall Vig to a 9.5" 3400 stall Vig. Prochargers love stall.
