Default procharged 4.8's

Anyone have a clue what a 4.8 could produce with a D1sc? every thread I found searching about them were about the 4.8 blowing up and burning pistons. They can take the abuse from a turbo why not a supercharger? If the head unit I have doesn't sell Im thinking about putting it in my 92 rcsb with a cheap 4.8

The 4.8 can take more abuse than any other LS motor. The reason those things are blowing up would probably be from bad tunes and detonation issues. Some people are too cheap to upgrade their injectors, run an intercooler, etc etc

The blower setups will have higher AIT so the tune will have to have less timing then a turbo setup. Best bet is to run E85, but if your stuck with 93, add some meth or keep the timing in check to keep it alive.

A D1sc with a 3-core intercooler from procharger and a meth kit will have absolutely no issues with iat's. They should never get above ambient actually.

Hell, theres a vid on youtube from a bonneville guy with a 290 something cubic inch motor with an F-series blower on it.

I say give it a try

Just curious why you think a blower set up will have higher IAT's?? Just curious, not trying to start a pissing match.. A root/screw style I might see, but a centri blower is essentially a belt driven turbo..

We do have one E85 pump in our whole town lol. Well if it doesn't sell I may try it. If it does than its going to be a pt76 on the 4.8
