I have a friend with a Whipple and has a truck with the 4.8 in it and said that the blower came off a 5.3 and Whipple said it wouldn't work because of the heads or something. I really don't think that is the case at all but I thought I would check. Didn't the Whipples mount off to the side and blow through the stock intake? I will look at his stuff this week and see if I can't make out what the "problem" is but it didn't seem possible that it wouldn't work. Any help would be awesome

I thought it would work. I am thinking about maybe selling him my 5.3 out of my wife's Yukon to swap out the 4.8 with the 5.3 I have. Or maybe sell him the LS1 I have in the garage. I will look at it and see what the deal is and see what we can maybe work out

 

needs a intercooler, real injectors, ditch whippletronics.... and a good tune.

nope single cab 4x4 5.3. it went way lean then it went way rich.

 

There is obviously a problem with his setup.
Even with the craptronics the truck should have put down more.
All I did was go to 42lbs injectors and my 4.8l put 432 to the wheels.Ran 13.4 @104 with a 2.4 60 (Damn peg leg).With the current setup I am sure I could double the #'s he put down.
