I had problem similar after screwing with shift points on the tranny. It felt like a miss but was actually the shift point set incorrectly.

Yes & make sure that the up shift points and down shift points are set apart enought so that it is not "hunting" for the gear. I changed all my plugs and wires just to find that it was the tranny.
