Default powerdyne?

What does everyone think about the powerdyne kits??? good, bad, indifferent? Or is it worth it to spend a little extra on a little nicer kit?

i would say the magnacharger (radix) setup is one of the favorites on here...

great power all across the board, and under the curve. great fit, customer service, etc.

yeah, but that kit is like $5,600 the powerdyne is like $3,000 I personally dont think that the radix is worth that much. No doubt its a nice setup but too much money I think.

I agree the only person that I know that was using one of those is on a 2001 dodge ram 1500 and the most psi that he was able to do is 3 psi, no matter which pulley he uses he only makes 3 psi the only thing that he says the powerdine does is belt slip, but as our folks say try it and give us feedback about it maybe on a chevy it is different

I had a powerdyne and it was nothing but troubel. The bearings go out every 6-7000 miles and I never could make much boost. I bought it because I was new to FI and it was cheap, if Iwere to do it all over again knowing what I know now I would have saved for a better sc. I am currently running a whipple 3.3l and wish I would have went with a whipple or maggie in the first place.

Get a used maggie IMHO. Good luck to you in your quest for horsepower.

I was in your shoes once and went the cheap route with powerdyne. I had better results on a 100 shot than running 6 lbs of boost. I sold when I had to rebuild it.
