Variable turbine housing inlet. Small inlet increase exhaust flow.

Tractor pulling diesel guys have been injecting water preturbo for years according to a friend of mine. Not sure how hard or bad it would be on equipment though. None the less I bet it would work great in some of the large turbo applications.

Anyone know how much hotter a Diesel engines exhaust normally runs compared to gasoline engines? I'd be interested in finding out more about these tractors and see how well their results would be!

ALS is more refined. I have heard of some cars using very rich mixtures when shifting that are still combusting as it leaves the chamber spooling the turbo. The first Audi quatro rally car was outlawed after killing a couple drivers. If i remember correctly they were twin turbos that had a hardline injecting straight fuel. They were scary fast. It did eat turbos which were made of diffrent material. Newer turbos have lightweight fans with some being ceramic which would add to the wear dramaticly. I would suggest against doing this type of setup for any long period of time.

Based on what my dads Dmax runs and what I've seen on my truck's EGT probe I hooked up to EFILive, I seem to run about 200* more with my gasser, then he does with the diesel.

Hmmmm....then I guess you'd be safe with super heating the steam if diesels can do it!
You gonna give it a go around?
Worse things that could happen is you need a new turbine.

yeah just throw a junk turbo on there to see the difference, worst case it breaks and you put the good one back on.
