I was thinking of having my Radix supercharger ported and did some research and found that the Radix is allready ported.I talked to the people who port the Lightning superchargers and they said that there was nothing more to port. They did offer to port the intake tube for about $400 and I declined their offer.I did have an adaptor plate made locally to fit a 90mm throttlebody and then bored the intake tube to match the 90mm openning. That seemed to help things flow a little better.

AFAIK, the only reason to run lower compression is so you can run more boost, and run it on pump gas without detonation. A lower compression motor by itself (5.3L @ 8.5:1 compression) puts out less power than an equivalent size motor with higher compression (5.3L @ 10.5:1 compression), but can handle a lot more boost. If you aren't going to run boost then there is really no reason to lower your compression, or go with a low compression motor.

Timing makes better power than boost
