Race cover increases the hp potential.
Billet wheel increases the hp potential.

But only one helps spool rate.

Now the race cover has a smaller discharge OD.
Making for a nicer look.

 

Yea I plan to give them a call tomorrow. I will be out of town for the next week and a half so I'm not in a rush. I am going to go with the race cover but probably not the billet wheel. Rick, would you need the turbo to make the hot and cold side for me?

 

No. I would Need to T4 or T6. I have housings here.

 

My precision 76/75 on a 4.8 was a blast @ 23psi !!! Took 10 feet to spool, then it would rattle the 315's on the street and take off.

 

So I called ForcedInductions today and he spec'd me a S480/92 T4 turbo.

Obviously I don't want to go that big on my little 293. I want a fun street truck that can make 800whp when I want to turn it up so that turbo seems huge. Thoughts?

Don't be a doucher. I'm new to turbos and am wondering why he would spec such a large turbo on such a small engine. The turbo you mentioned is the one I plan on buying, it just caught me off guard when he spec'd something so big

 

You can ask 10 people and you will get 10 different answers. I know since im in the same boat. I talked with FI couple of Times and each time I was told something different. im leaning more towards the billet s476/92 or 96 with upgraded wheel and race cover in a T4.

 

What are the engine specs your running?

 

Will be on a 4.8/5.3 until I build a 370ci
