I hear ya. Expensive hobby to be sure

So what turbos did you end up with? Looks like you fabbed up the kit on your own or is that a modified STS kit?

what size tubing from intake are you running from turbos 2 intercooler? i ran 3"...the crossover pipe is super simple..1 2.5" bend with 12" legs cut in half(expanded to 2.75) cut exactly were the stock mufler started(just before the weld). put the turbos exactly were they needed to go..

Those are APS C5 and/or C6 manifolds... and last I checked APS does not sell them seperately. Where that passanger manifold dumps... would be an awefully tight space to fit a turbo because of the truck frame rail.

Peter and I had a lengthy discussion about building a truck kit earlier this year... and I don't think I could convince him an $8k (range) twin turbo kit was marketable. I think it would take some major arm twisting to get him to commit to a truck kit...

I'm running two charge pipes, 2, 2.25, 2.5 staggered into the intercooler (or coolers) then a 4" from the cooler to the TB.

I'm going to put my forward of the stock muffler location to give me more room for the dual exhaust / cutouts / mufflers / kitchen sink set up I need to keep the truck streetable and the neighbors from shooting at me as I drive by.

Do you mean forward of the brace also in front of the muffler?
i have 3" tailpipes, cats still on for now, i have a feeling it's going to be crazy loud..but screw my neightbors- nothing worse than someone who goes to work at 5 am and starts their straight pipe harley up...my friggin windows rattle..but its the cops i'm worried about..they like my truck more than me.

Pretty much I'm mounting the turbos right where the factory pipes are joined together (near the torque arm rear mounts) unless something screwy happens. I was going to mount them up next to the tranny but the cross over pipe would be tough (truck is lowered now) and the air up there is hotter and more turbulent, so I settled for midway back.

Ahh i see now...i though about something similar...the ss don't have the crossover so i was looking at that, but man is it tight...I have about a 1/2 inch clarance turbo 2 turbo and about 1 inch from framerail and about and inch and half from the d/s...i would have ofset them slightly if i were to do it over again.thats about the only thing i didn't like after i was done but after running it all summer and not having a turbocharged driveshaft, i'm not really worried about it anymore.

Yeah, I'm thinking about staggered placement or possibly canting the turbos away from each other a bit.

Currently don't have a tranny or DS in the truck so I've been waiting a bit on doing the fab
