Default Pics of twin turbo SBC header progress

Finally got the motor in place. So now I need to figure out the headers. So decided to build one side in mild steel to check the layout before I order stainless steel and merge collectors. So I went to town to the local muffler shop and had them bend me eight 90 degree and one 45 degree bend since they can not bend u-bends tight enough. So I cut two of the 90's and welded them to simulate a 2.5" CLR u-bend. Then cut the rest of the 90 at the center point of a 2.5" CLR to simulate u-bends being used for 90 degree bends.

Here are some pics of the progress. You can follow the full progress of the truck at: CarDomain

Well they would not fit even if I wanted to use them as they would hit the upper A-Arms as the truck has been slammed. They are for a T3 application with T3 to T4 converters, and they have welded collectors. Since this is for show, that just won't cut it, so building a set from scratch and using slip on merge collectors to make sure the headers don't crack from expansion.

It's not the Nelson you might be thinking, it is Nelson Racing Engines that built the motor, and it cost a pretty penny to say the least.
