TBI trucks don't run at 50+ psi either.

I had an inline die on my Camaro and the intank worked ok until you tried to give it too much throttle, then the pressure would shoot down to like 20psi.

It seems to me that a gerotor wouldn't flow if it locked up, but if it was an electrical failure, or just worn to the point of losing volume, that the in-tank would still push through it.
My only experience is with an inline gear pump (also known as a loud pump) that lost volume, the in-tank does keep the engine running.

Few quick questions. I am going to start fabing up my inline kit tomorrow and was getting a few parts together tonight and noticed something. On the outlet side of this pump (M12 x 1.5) is has two copper crush washers as seen in this picture:

However, on the inlet side (M18 x 1.5), no fitting came with the pump. I ordered the fitting, but realized that I have no copper washer to put between it and the pump. Here is a picture of the fitting:

Do i need this washer on the inlet side? Can I use an O-ring? Do i need a washer or O-ring at all? Been looking and its tough to find an 18mm copper crush washer out there if thats in fact what i need.

I have the fitting ordered....the one in the pic is not the one I will be using as it is an O-ring end fitting. I was just using it to demonstrate what i was talking about. Here is a shot of both of the two fittings used in the pictures above. Again, the blue aluminum fitting is the correct one and will be used in my set-up. The silver (steel) fitting will not be used. I have the M18 x 1.5 to -6AN fitting comming in tomorrow. I just dont have the 18mm copper crush washer to use with it....if i need it.

Orings seal very nicly just make sure the housing/fitting captures the oring. Other wise you have to use a crushwasher on straight threads., 18mm crush washer, you should be able to find at the parts house in the help section. Look at the oil pan plugs, they will have a crush washer on them. Just the washer you need and chunk the fitting that came with it in the fitting junk draw.

Okay, so the concensus is, "YES"? I need to use a copper washer then?

Mangled: It is not NPT i dont think. It doesnt tighten up like NPT does.
