Pic of a HD belt tensioner?

Any one have a pic of the HD belt tensioner? I need to see what the mounting bracket for the Procharger/Roush type setup looks like (bolts to stock location). I haven't been able to find a good pic searching. Thanks!

post #7 in this thread: https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...d.php?t=464482

the back mounting section is sitting back by the balancer and the rest is still attached to the tensioner.

That is the magnacharger HD tensioner. Call them (or any other maggie dealer) and they will sell you one.

03sierraslt 10-01-2010 08:35 PM

That HD tensioner is basically the same as what I had on my Kenne Bell.

X2. I actually got mine in the mail today from magnacharger. Plus they're only $112. Cheap insurance IMO.

KB if you need more pics of it off a vehicle or backside or something, pm me your number and ill text them to you!

kbracing96 10-01-2010 10:29 PM

Thanks for the pics guys. What I'm really looking for is the mounting bracket that comes with Leftcoast32's HD tentioner kits for non maggie kits. You can text pics to 480-seven eight five-6132.

im looking to get this for my Roush TVS1900. I was quoted 400+shipping for the complete kit for a non maggie system

Pm Mangled03gmc. Maybe he will get you some more pics. I sold him that 8 rib setup and upgraded tensioner off of my old truck. The tensioner that he has is the one for the non magnacharger setups like you are looking for.

Pat it looks beefier than the one with the original Kenne bell kit - is it the same one or is there a stronger spring? Please advise

Thanks

Fepony 10-02-2010 12:50 PM

I have 2 stock units if you need one let me know...free and you pay shipping

TIM Z 10-02-2010 01:18 PM

Sorry Kyle ive been super busy, i will text you some pics of my HD tensioner with leftcoast's bracket kit that i used to install .

It was a bit pricey but worth it as joe helped me install it over the phone and evrything fit great!

Fepony 10-02-2010 01:51 PM

I have a an idler or 2 laying around i can toss in too if you need them if it helps get you up and running.

kbracing96 10-02-2010 03:17 PM

I have a stock tensioner that's fine, just doesn't have enough travel to take up all the slake when the belt stretches in boost. I think I'm just gonna get the whole HD kit. :)

Thanks for the pics guys!! :D

need to see some pics of it installed now. i dont see why you need those othe lil parts but it will be cool to see pics of it all installed.

kbracing96 10-12-2010 10:12 PM

The only thing I don't think I'll need is the water neck, but it comes in the sub assemble that the spacer next to it that you do need is in. So I guess you get it any way. :)

skipperdaddy 10-12-2010 10:19 PM

hmmmm, still using my stock tentioner with my roush... no probs yet... what kits do they have that i could use?

01 BERGER CAMARO SS 10-13-2010 12:04 PM

hey kb, where and how much did that set you back? pm me info if you can bud..thanks

I got it from Magnuson. The sub assembly part numbers are...

31-12-00-082 upgrade radix tensioner
65-12-57-031 tensioner bracket
31-12-02-032 water neck replacement SSR (I didn't use the neck, but I think that's the sub assm that the 2 bolt spacer comes in)

Don't know that you lower boost guys really need this, but I'm pumping about 17psi out of this KB 2.8L :D

I haven't done anything with it yet. Hasn't made any funny noises for a while. Gonna still pull it off and go through it when I get a chance. Right now it seems fine other then make lots of heat in boost!

idahoblkss 10-13-2010 04:53 PM

dang i need a 8 rib set up .... me like.. where did you get all of your 8 rib pulleys from and what did they run you?

They came with the blower when I bought it all used. The crank pulley is an Innovators West 10% over driven, and the alt and PS pullies were from Pulley Boys.

BigKID 10-14-2010 01:47 PM

Very nice. I plan to do the tensioner upgrade when I do my 8-rib swap instead of spending $105 on the IW tensioner pulley.

Are you sure the alt and ps are from Pulley Boys? I know Cory had them make the blower pulleys but I though teh rest of the kit was IW. Since I am going to have to get my blower pulley from them, I may get their alt and ps if it is cheaper than IW.

kbracing96 10-14-2010 04:41 PM

Cory told me he got them from Pulley Boys and they don't look like IW's 8 rib stuff. Even the IW guy told me he didn't think they were his when I sent him a vid of a wobble issue I have with the crank pulley I'm not to happy with that they won't do anything about.

soooo what happened to the turbo setup?

The pictures from this one looks way different, the tensioner is slanted all the way to the right/down mine is almost in the center and makes the belt hit the part of the tensioner

I think I see what your saying. I just posted these pics in your other thread. I think you problem is you need a shorter belt so the tensioner is clocked like mine in this pic, ;)

Ok I have a t56 in my truck jus put new drag radials on hooking really good. Been slinging belts like crazy, last time hit 3rd hooked hard slung belt and snapped tensioner, I jus have 6 rib setup do I use my old pully on the HD tensioner from Maggie or wat comes with it. Also should this fix my belt slinging problem? Thanks

kbracing96 09-02-2015 11:27 AM

The HD tensioner comes with an 8 rib pulley on it. Still works with a 6 rib belt though.

hackrst 09-02-2015 02:11 PM

Ok that's way I wond er red thanks this should help with the belt slinging shouldn't it. Crank is pinned and everything
