im pretty sure they dont make an off the shelf piston for the 5.3 stock bore, either bore it to 5.7 ls1 specs and have an iron block ls1( my choice) or pay $$$$ for custom pistons

if you are getting a new crank you might as well go ahead and get a 4" stroke for a 383 with the ls1 bore

ive heard that diamond and jepistons and wiseco are good. callies and lunati are good cranks and rods

You won't find any 5.3 forged pistons. You want to clean up the bores anyway since #7 may or may not have caused some minor scaring.

And Everything Nightrunner said. Go to a 5.7L bore. I dont know what that would be with a 4" crank (is that a 383?)
You will have a ton of piston/rod choices going to a 5.7L

the ls1 bore x 4" stroke = like a 382, 383 something close, its like the ls1 is a 346, 347, 348, etc. although on tech they say a resleeved and bored ls1 is a 382 and a ls1 with a 4" stroke is a 383
