Default ok im so lost Fuel ??????

ok here we go. my build is pretty much in my sig.

i am running on a really shitty tune right know. it moves the truck ok but needs to be redone. i just want everything right before i lock down then tune. so i have been reserching fuel systems on here.

i have stock pump, regulator, lines, and rails on my truck with 42# injectors. i have read multiple post about that not being enought and i am maxing out my pump and so forth. well my afr are stupid fat all the way to 5800 got the revs there to be safe but still its is really fat.

when the tune comes up i am gonna be spinnin it to 6500 to 6600. that should see 10+ lbs. was thinking a 255 in tank cause i know once i do that ita be a little harder.
i have yet to check fuel pressure through the rpms but like i said i bottemed out an LM-1 at 9 putting the shitty tune on my truck to get her home.

any suggestions. not lookin to go crazy just make it nice and streetable. don't plan on making more than 430hp

3 things

1.) Running super-rich like that is a very good way to damage the engine by washing the cylinders with fuel. Since you know its that rich, stay out of boost until you get it fixed.

2.) Since you are running so rich, you obviously have enough fuel system at the moment. Which brings me to point 3...

3.) You need to log injector duty cycle and AFR with some type of software (hptuners, efilive, whatever). If your AFR is where you want it, and your injector duty cycle is less than 90% then what you have now is fine.

But first, get it tuned properly then go from there.

Im assuming you have a 5.3 ? If so just drop the 255 in the tank and that should be fine. I was running 11psi on my 6.0 with the 255 and 44lb injectors with more modes then you and was fine.but get it tuned asap.

42's should be enough for you on a 5.3 on 10 lbs.. Best bet is for start just run the 255 inline. It will save you some time over dropping the tank ect ect.. Get a good tune after all this for sure.. Next is your stock rails, reg and all is just fine...

I agree, my 42lbrs were maxed with the 4.8 on 9lb, but I had a drop of around 10 psi in fuel pressure. So I would guess you would be fine if u hold pressure, but if u rev to 6500, I dont think they will be enough

thanx for all the input guys. yeah i know about the cylinder wash. i been stayin out of it. as long as i am outta boost the afr is good. duty cycle of the injectors man i couldnt tell yeah. prolly up there

workin on the money to get the tune. ***** takin for ever.

got a 255 in tank from a friend of mine he was just gonna toss it. prolly pull the bed in a few days and switch them out.

now i just gotta come up with the 400 for the tune.

if i gotta step up injectors anyway i'll put these ***** at 100% up top to keep up with the boost and revs for the time being 60lb injectors are far from cheap.
