Default Off Shelf Turbo Grinds HP and Track Times

I am mainly curious in the TU0 or the Triple12. I see these cams recommended constantly but very little numbers to back up their reputation. Post engine/trans combos and turbo setups, 1/4 or 1/8 mile times and dyno numbers.

Triple 12, made over 800 with it in my truck on 15psi, Stock48 has made 1000 with it in his truck, LOTS of guys have made big power with it. Cam is WAY less important to a turbo build then people want to believe though...

Im not boosted yet, but my triple 12 in my NA 5.3 is making right around 330-340hp and 330ft/lb. So 10psi should get me right around 500/500.

Turbo doesn't really care. If you were making 5-600 hp doubt a 10-20hp difference between 2 cams would be all that noticeable.

Good thing about the triple 12 is that it retains lowend power, which would be nice for out of boost.

Truth. Cam it for good out of boost response and low end torque and then let the turbo do the rest of the work.

I know you wanted ideas on those two cams, but I went with a SDPC HT1 cam for my 03 4.8. 4.8, cam, btr dual valve springs, 62mm turbo on 9lbs, built 60E and a yank 3600. 7.65 at 89, 12.09 at 110.8 with a 1.69 60ft. The turbo was choking it in 3rd or should have trapped a little higher. est hp in the 440-450 rwhp area. single cab

Jarret (Stock48) suggested his Isky 218/218 112lsa for my build. Stock bottom end 6.0, stock 317 heads, awd with 4.10s and an 80e with a BW S480. Lots of good reviews out there on his grinds and seems like his customer service is way above what most others have so I'll be buying from him when the time comes. Shoot him a PM and talk with him about your setup, he's very helpful.
