old waste gate was a turbonetics evolution, new waste gate will be a hks race gate.

with the old gate the lowest boost i could run with the new turbo and cut out open was 22psi. this should give me control down to 10psi or so

things are looking up for the truck.
tranny will be here on monday, chuck thinks i should NOT lock it in 2nd gear and definately not keep it locked thru the shift, that is when it broke before was on the 2-3 shift while locked. i am going to just lock it in 3rd. he put a new input shaft in there and had it cryoed. he also did some other stuff to the tranny but i dont know much about trannys so i can't tell you what all he did. ~500rpm higher stall than i had before is here and ready to go in.
motor is done and shiping out on monday. it was running like a raped ape but sam wanted to look at it so i sent it in. he didn't like the way the rings were wearing so they came up with a new piston design and put in a shorter rod. there are fewer gas ports on the piston and he moved the rings around some.
sam hopes to have the flanges for that big *** gate on tuesday and get that reworked for me. that will be the last thing i am waiting for.
rims have a ship date of about 2 weeks, 18x9.5's with 555r's 305/45/18's all around.
