Default Nos + turbo

im runnign a 5.3 stock bottem end with 8lbs of boost an i was thinking about putting a 50 or 100 shot on it also. will my motor last with boost and nos, will there be big power gains with it. i have a meth kit now but its not hooked up can a turbo meth and nos. the original plan was to run 12 pounds with meth but now boost and nos sounds like a good idea.

I would turn the boost up too. Nos is awesome with boost but 8lb is low boost. Make Damm sure it is tune right and no spark knock. Meth is good if you don't want to buy race gas or go e85.

Damn that sucks man what turbo do you have? That will determine which engine to go with. Or if you're willing to swap turbos too

Well dang that stinks.

My stock 6.0 gained 64rwhp/90rwtq with a 47 shot on 6psi Vs just psi.
Just as a lil insight on boost and nitrous

I posted a similar thread a week ago asking about this. I am 99% sure I'm gonna spray 100 shot on my 8psi of supercharged boost. I think if I was turboed I'd just increase the boost and run an in cab adjustable boost controller and Meth. For me to change boost pressure requires a pulley swap so thats one reason I'm looking at N2O. With a turbo you're alot more flexible in the power level you want at a given moment.

you shouldnt have a problem with either engine with that BW. There are a couple members on here who are making serious power with the 4.8

I ran 10 psi with a 50 shot on top with my old 5.3 It will definately help out especially to build boost faster
