Well I blew another motor, my forged LS1... OUCH! My truck doesnt like FI. this one i spent so much time money and research and ended up he same way my last motor did procharged. good news we bew it up on the dyno making 500 rwhp @ 17 deg of timing and i got t on video (will share shortly). so any ways, I just got finished getting the truck ready with motor #3.. I decided to keep it simple and go with a 2006 LQ9 with my worked over patriot heads, new cam, edlebrock headers, borla exhaust, and cai. and it runs really well btw
have an issue maybe someone couldshed some light for me... when i had a shop add a walbro 255 to my fuel tank to run with my stck fuel pump, the used my gas tank vent for the return line from the FPR (my truck is returnless style)... not cool right... well when i stoped at the local shell station to fill up, it just click and clicks and clicks because there is no vent. can i put a factory retunstyle sending unit on my tank and use the vent back into the evap... or do it their way and tap a hole on the bac of the tank and make anothe vent?????

Did you try all different positions with the filler nozzle? Sometimes I have to pull the nozzle almost all the way out to get it to fill and my fuel system is stock. Makes me nervous. Also, have you tried more than one gas station?
The fill neck for the gas tank is problematic at times and becomes kinked with age.
Just making sure the simple stuff is checked first before modifying the gas tank.

for the fueling thing i would check evap thing in the back. forgot the name of it but its a evap soleniod that IS NOT hooked to the evap line your speaking of for the return setup. and it vents when filling. they are known to get filled with water and prvent filling of the tank. i just changed one on a 2008 yukon. now it fills up easily evertime. his had been doing the hard fill up thing for a long time before it ever threw a code.
i also agree on the tuning thing. 500hpand 17* isn't a whole lot, with 93octane anyway(when compared to what others have done with stock motors)? what was the afr? did you data log 17degrees?
