Nitrous is like renting an apartment for 5 years when you could have put a dent in a mortgage already. Just save and do it right.

Thanks for all the replies guys!
looks like front mount is the way to go. I have read on there that stock manifolds can be used but that ls1 camaro factory manifolds are better. for those of you who have done this what do you think? for a front mount done right ill need an intercooler. where would I go for one of those?
I checked out the trick turbo kits and the stage 2 kit looks perfect. this summer I will finish the 406 sbc I was building for my 91 firebird and sell it so I should have the funds to purchase either a trick or other brand kit. the big benefit of that is that ill have the kit to play with and should have some money left over to buy another 5.3l vortec in for the bird. so if anyone is in the market for a 406 let me know!
as for the guy who asked if there was anything done to the truck the answer is no, its all stock. i may look into a cam too because I didnt see that the trick kit came with it. Any cam suggestions? also what turbo kits/diy kits are you guys running?
Thanks again for all the help!

Dont forget that you will need a transmission soon after either of those choices.

Yeah Ive been looking into 80E and th400 swaps already. I will most likely need a rear end too correct? I was thinking 12 bolt swap to hold up to the boosted power.
are there any other turbo kit companies I should check out? as of now im still liking the trick kit.
Ill look into isky cams, I have heard really good things about them for boosted and N/A applications, thanks again!

Truetrac will upgrade your rear end enough to hold the power.

Also what are the chances of setting up several tunes? I really want to be able to do an 8psi 93 tune a 10 psi 93 tune and a 13-16 psi E85 tune. my big question is can I tune for 93 octane AND E85? the reason bing is that down state I have access to e85 where as up here at school I would have to cross the bridge into canada to get e85

If you do your own tuning it wound be very hard to change tunes. You would need either EFI LIve of HP Tuners. just make a tune for each setting and load the tune when you change the boost.
