Default Nissan Frontier Turbo Project

This is my Dads little 2.4L 4 banger truck we have been planning on a little turbo for a while now. Our goal is to just make 40-50 more hp. maybe 3-5 psi of boost. Not trying to make huge power just alittle more ummphh for towing a 1100 lb pop up camper. Probably won't change anything as far as tuning or fueling goes unless its absolutely needed. The manifold we bought a couple years ago off ebay for 200 bucks, its stainless and is actually intended for a 240 which shares the same block as these trucks. Turbo I believe is a T2/T3 from an old 4 cyl turbo mustang, which was donated. I think this will be the easiest and cheapest turbobuild ever, lol

You're right it is slower than crap, LOL. 143 hp. stock at the crank im sure. I think we can get 180 at the wheels wth really low boost. Its starting to come along, DP is almost done. Need to make a carb hat and a few more flanges for the cold side of the turbo. Other than that just waiting on some parts to show up.

Do you have any engine tuning planned for it? Any solutions out there similar to EFI live in use-ability? Is that a distributor I see on that engine? I thought every manufactuer had gone to D.I.S.

Cool build!

Looks good, you could probably add meth, to come in under full boost. That would probably take care of the extra fuel needed.
