Default Newbie. Another Supercharger thread

My truck is a 2006, 4 x 4, Chevy Silverado extended cab, Vortec max package with only 67K miles. 6400 GVW, 5250 on the scale, 4:10 gear (9.5" rings) with Vmax package.
-6.0L, 345 HP, LQ9 engine (the SS engine, more compression than LY9 that year in 2500 models)
-M70 transmission (#2). Failed at 44K miles. (Piece of crap, original and replacement)
-Worth about $14K for trade, long out of warranty, a new toy .

Question. I am thinking of making it a toy and doing the supercharger thing. I have read posts on this site favoring the Maggie over the Vortech.

Concerns:
-The LQ9 6.0L has higher compression. Always run Sunoco 93, but I hear it ping now and then when matted. I run the "decarbon" gas treatments through know. My point is, on the edge of detination know, bad news for supercharging?
-Anyone else have experience with the M70 transmiossion? Smoked one already. My undersanding it is a limited production hop-up of the M60 (4L60e) where a 4L80e is needed. Piece of crap shifting wise! Do the M60's hold up with the 5.3L trucks adding 120HP?
-Do these supercharger kits work with existing motor ECM and is there tunability included with the kits.

Thanks in advance,
MVortec

I moved this to the Forced Inductions section for you. You can supercharge it no problem, its all in the tune. As for the transmission, just plan to do a 4L80E swap if you want to rid yourself of transmission problems.
