He lives!
I got a PM from John about the new Whipple setup, and all I can say is it's about time! Who knows what their situation was/is, but at least they are headed in the right direction here.
I remember on my truck being able to crank up the timing a bunch after intercooling the twin screw. Even though compressed air exit temps from the twin screw lobes may be lower than some other designs (perhaps marginally now that Brian and the gang have made great design improvements to their own setups), there is still a ton of power to be had by intercooling the twin screw compressors. The auxiliary two injectors were the biggest flaw to the old kit I thought. Im glad to see all of this being cured.

I see the new designs that you and the gang have been doing at Magnacharger, Brian, and the TVS line is simply some amazing stuff! Look at those rotors...where did you get the idea just kidding man. The advancements you guys have made are excellent!

I hope you all are doing well and that 2008 didn't drop you down too badly. Now let's just hope we never see a chapter 7 from GM

Take care and Happy Holidays Everyone!

HOLY CRAP!!! I didn't know you were still alive! When I read this thread, I was thinking of you doing this years ago! You should be getting royalties for thier new setup since you did all the R&D work, and paved the way for them.

As a former whipple owner who paid over 5 grand to knock off 1 second, and another 2+ grand to get it working the way that it should have from whipple lowering times by another second, I have no love lost for the boys at whipple, including the arrogant whipple boy who it appears no longer works there?

When they had a website 5 years ago I made the (MISTAKE) of mentioning my hp gains and times at the track, (or lack of) and without being a smart ace, asked how to get the 2 seconds he promised. He then went on to lecture me about thousands being sold with NO problems, and it was my issue, and no one else had one. Shortly after that they got about a dozen more questions concerning product problems, let alone customer support. The next week they yanked their site. Heck, I even drove the 12 hours to take my truck right to whipple, only to be told it did'nt have a problem (they did have some good lookin gals in the office though!). I believe the only folks that ever seemed to be remotely interested in helping anyone was the southern guy who since quit and went elsewhere? I drove there because I got tired of waiting weeks (if ever) to get some answers to calls or emails.

I can't comment on which product is more capable, I guess time will tell. But attitude towards the customer-whipple just plain SUCKED!!!!!!! If the same guys own/run it, I see no change in that attitude towards customers changing. "Hey, we got your $, now **** off and spend your time and $ to figure it out". If that's the kind of attitude you want after spending $5-$6K, be my guest.

I would NOT buy from those morons EVER again!!!!!!!!

oh no doubt. They were a complete group of ******** everytime I called them in the past. 2003-2005

One of the last times I called them was after I was told they were under new management or something. I got a guy who was very personable. I inquired about the 3.3L and whether or not they had a kit for my truck. I was told NO but it would be available in 2 months.

That was in February 2006. lol
