Rick - You need to build a universal intercooled manifold for the 8.1L guys!! You have an engine sitting there!

In a properly setup RCSB I think the TVS 1900 is capable of a 10 sec. 1/4 mile run. Look at my setup that is stock except for the blower. Throw a converter/headers/heads/cam/cutout/bigger crank pulley/8 rib/suspension/slicks/etc on there and subtract about 1700+ lbs.

His big block manifolds are beautiful, and the CUPRONICKEL intercoolers are super efficient but very VERY Expensive.

just for comparrison's sake I ran almost the identical time/mph with a bone stock 6.0L and older 2 pulley style Whipple at 12lbs boost. 416/478.

ran 13.066 @ 102mph with a 1.9 60'

Oh, and my track weight that night was 6140lbs.

That's a pretty good comparison. I don't have an actual boost reading but, going off of the readings I have from other pulleys it should be around 9psi. I also don't have a weight with the hard tonneau and blower on but, it should be around 6100lbs also going off the last time I weighed it.

What type of cooler did you have and what were your IATs?

This is a long thread and gotten off track a little bit, all us gear heads want to get past the theory and on to results.

Let's get some one to pony-up and get the Whipple kit on and tested and evaluated
Ryan P/man looks like he is doing so, get er done.

Theory wise,Whipple may have an advantage, but the results are in the details and the tune.
I had a Radix on my 04 and it was a COMPLETE kit down to the air filter and even a can of sound deadoner for the fender well, no codes, plug and play,
The people that buy Magnauson expect plug and play, no tuner stuff.
Let's see what Whipple can do to compete,
beyond that, sales will also be in nnbs trucks as well, guys just got em and may even, in this ecomony have some extra dough to spend.
Do they have a kit for gmt 900

Well lets see what mine does when I make it to the track, I think some will be suprised. I ran a 13.8 @ 98 at 6.5lbs stock manifolds, cats, MAF tune, stock converter no weight reduction. Ran a 13.1 @ 102 with the following added. LT's, ORX and 8psi. I since added a built trans, 2800 PI stall and 60lb injectors for more boost and am now 2bar SD, I want to get a base line before I do a cam swap. I know this much, 12psi and the stall feels pretty nice.

Granted my setup is no where near original as far as KB goes, I have always wanted to go faster but didnt want to do it by just throwing more and more boost at it. I want to hit a 12.x at no more then 8lb boost, I goal is to keep working on the effiecency of my setup until I achieve that. I know I could raise the boost and run race gas and do it but thats not the point for me.
