Default New Radix...some disapointment.

Well I got my Radix installed. I bought it as a used kit from a board member and the install went great. I had to buy a few missing pieces, but it was easy to get all the parts from Magnacharger. I am not using the stock tuner, because it was a used kit and Magna wanted $300 clams for the box. I already had a freepass with Nelson's so I am using his tuning. The truck runs great and I believe that the truck is safe in the tuning. I am a little disapointed in the performance though compared to my old STS kit. It just does not feel like the same level of performance. I am currently seeing about 5 to 6 psi from the radix. I measured the pulley and I believe that its a 3.1 or 3.2 which I think came stock with this hummer kit. Is the tuning off? or is this the performance you get from a stock kit? I have some logs Ive taken with my EFI Live, but I realy dont know what I am looking at. Any thoughts? Please don't say use the stock tuner as there isn't one.

Get the J-Tube with the LS2 throttlebody and a GT2-3 Cam. Seems to be working for everybody that has a Radix.

Had you ridden in a vehicle with a Radix before buying yours? Realize that roots SC boost feels different than turbo boost. The Radix comes on right away and is steady after that. It can be deceptive, simply because once it comes on line, it can appear flat.

This is different than how turbo boost comes on - very slowly, then as you get further up the RPM band, the boost increases, creating a feeling of more and more power the more you apply throttle. Different feeling altogether IMO. I wonder if this is part of the issue.

My 3" pulley on my LQ9 nets about 7psi, so his numbers sound about right....

I wasn't really impressed with my Radix until I started pushing at least 10lbs boost.

Yes I was wondering if I am just being fooled by the power. I am planning on getting it on the dyno for a tune next month at Nelsons. I also have an LS6 cam and springs for it. I'll go to a 3.00 pulley then as well.
